Dr. Kane Chang, MD, FSVS, FACS is a board-certified Vascular Surgeon with over 16 years of experience. Prior to joining the Vascular Institute at AMI, Dr. Chang was the Chief of the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Deborah Heart and Lung Center where he held this distinction for 14 years. During his tenure he also served as the Program Director of the Vascular Surgery Fellowship and had the opportunity to train more than 20 future vascular surgeons.
After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Brown University, he attended medical school at the NYU School of Medicine. Following this he served his residency at the Penn State Milton Hershey Medical Center and Staten Island University Hospital where he also completed his Vascular Surgery Fellowship. Dr. Chang has over 20 presentations and publications to his credit and has been recognized multiple times as a Top Doc.
His primary areas of interest include complex aortic disease, cerebrovascular disease, limb salvage surgery and interventions, as well as dialysis access creation and maintenance.
Dr. Chang strongly believes in the value of patient-centered care. In his practice, he always places the individual needs of the patient first by tailoring the treatment plan to best serve the patient. He feels that with the developing complexity of modern-day medicine the patient experience must still be the focal point of care.
